Here I am, with a new manga in hand.
So I am going to talk about one volume in hand since this one contains two.
Now years ago, I bought this manga before the creator went on a small hiatus or something like that and it was also because I adored Ouran High Host Club, which I need to buy one day, hopefully the box set cause that's how far behind I am.
So what makes millennium snow a good manga? It's a small and simple series about a girl who is going to die before the next snow due to a heart issue since birth, but then an anti-social vampire with a loathing for humans crosses her path and gives her the chance to live longer. Though he refuses to bestow the full length on her, the 1000 year life span.
"But Mizu, there are so many vampire mangas that are like that". That may be true but this series gives me a feeling that a lot of vampire ones don't inspire, the feeling of warmth. Most characters never had death literally looming over them like Chiyuki does and I feel for her, having to live 17 years knowing that one heart attack could be her very last. It's painful to know that she doesn't have a future to look forward to.
I think, in a way, this manga has a form of nostalgia on me since I read this years ago, I'm talking about 2007, when I graduated HS. I never got further than volume 1 and I still have that copy to this day and now that I can finally read 2, I am getting giddy at the thought lol
The images selected is the new omnibus and the old baby I still have. It's a pity I can't get all four volumes to match but thank god for omnibuses that do.
I so need to read that series one day.
