We got two mangas out of the procurement this week and they
are basically just finishers in the series.
- Made in Heaven 2
- Sorcerers and Secretaries 2
I am super stocked to finally have these two to finish the
series and I got them from a Facebook user, so I am limiting any personal information
on that since it’s not really necessary.
Anyway, this may be a super short and somewhat overdue posts
but here we go. The condition for it was a bit dirty but after a good clean up,
it’s looking as new as they feel. Probably read once and I am most likely to
procure off the seller again since they seem to care for their belongings and
that means I am going to get them in pretty good condition.
Made in Heaven volume 2, follows Juri side of the story, since
they say that every story has at least two sides. Little did she know that Kazemichi
use to be Reiji, someone who was nearly killed and brought back with artificial
parts and unfeeling skin. She also didn’t know that they were starting to give
out and he may die again. When his body was found in a wreckage from an unknown
explosion, she learns about the dark past that made the man that became to be
known as Kazemichi.
Made in Heaven is a two-part series and cannot be complete
without having read both sides of this story. I got the first one in a bundle
for a Paradise Kiss volume, but it turns out to be sort of worth getting. The
story fascinates me, and I cannot wait to read them both together, now that I
finally got the final volume.
Sorcerers and Secretaries volume 2 follows where the first
volume ended, where Nicole was saying how she has to leave and never wants to
see Josh again. After he stops her, they make amends since Josh ended up
reading her dream diary and loves the amazing world she has imagined. He
convinces her to enter her work to a fantasy magazine and allows him to be her
editor. Nicole is now torn between focusing on her new creative outlet and the
new attraction that she is now having for Josh.
When I first got this volume, I didn’t know what to expect
but I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much at the end of volume one, hence why I
tried to get volume two as quickly as possible. Sadly, I only just read the
first few pages and really want to read more but I been a bit busy the last few
days with life and health issues, so I hope to possibly read it soon and
possibly start reviewing it since it’s a short and sweet series.
The only flaw about these two mangas is the age. They are from
the early TokyoPop era and that indicates they are looking to be a bit pricey
compared to most manga these days and getting them brand new would be even more
so. If you can manage to nab these, especially collectors who enjoy old series
or series with fantasy, romance and drama, then take these two on, you shouldn’t
be too disappointed, I wasn’t. That concludes the post today and remember, read
all the things!
