Day 34 – Manga Mail

I purposely didn’t do last week since I didn’t want Shibuya Goldfish on its own and I hoped at least one other came in this week and four came in instead. Pity two others haven’t come in yet, but I can wait till them and maybe several others come in but then again, no mail on the weekend.

So, the new editions are:
  • Gantz Omnibus vol. 2
  • Food Wars vol. 8-10
  • Shibuya Goldfish vol. 3

We will start with the chunky monkey Gantz.
It’s the next three volumes from 4 to 6. The condition is lovely, and I am glad that this came in but the only problem with that order is one was missing but I am happy to wait for it or even get a response from the store.
It continues from Volume three where they have entered another battle of survival. I would say more but I haven’t quite read it yet and the manga lacks a synopsis. I can’t wait to finally read it since I last read it online, like the loser I was.

Next, we have Food Wars where I am finally up to ten out of twenty-eight volumes, well, until twenty-nine to thirty-three is finally released on the world and whatever other volumes are unleashed not long after.
Eight continues with the battle of the Fall Classic preliminaries ends. Now Soma is up against the master of fragrance, Akira Hayama in a battle of the curry dishes. It also has a bonus story at the end of the manga.
Volume nine and ten covers flows onto each other and I really adore that cover the most and kind of wish they did that to all the volumes since I rarely see covers do that.
Now volume nine is starting with the finals have begun and the first round starts with bento boxes theme. The battle of egos as Soma clashes with Alice but while she is getting raves, Soma invents a box unlike no one has ever encountered before. It doesn’t stop there as the second round starts shortly after.
Now we have ten where the last quarterfinal match of the Fall Classic.
Takumi wants to find another chance to take Soma on, but Subaru is his next challenger and he is pretty confident since he knows his dishes makes people turn into an uproar at the preparation phase.

Shibuya Goldfish continues with Sable forming plans to take out the fish and gets the others involved in taking them out but that is just the beginning of their problems where things start to escalate. I cannot wait to read more but having to wait for the release date to come out. I have talked about this a lot before since I read it and enjoyed it a lot.

That’s all for this week but I am pleased to see that my collection is finally shaping up with a few series I either been reading for ages and now finally buying or redeeming myself because I flopped at procuring it once ago, but the omnibus is adorable, and I am so glad to finally get it.
