Welcome kiddies for another instalment of “Orders finally
coming in”.
Anyway, we have a small or maybe a long list today since it has two complete
series/arc in this list, reaching either the halfway or nearing the end mark of
the series and trying to slowly, but badly, catch up on long series or a pricey
one, looking at you Zombie.
The list is as following, since it’s a mix of having
discounts and a kind partner:
- Behind the Scenes vol. 6
- Deadman Wonderland vol. 3-6
- Food Wars vol. 11-12
- Hour of the Zombie vol. 2
- Kiss Him, Not Me vol. 1-14
- Pokemon Adventures: Red & Blue vol. 1-7
The list is small and interesting. There are also a few
orders either on the way or within the realms of pre-orders, since I am
enjoying the notion of pre-ordering manga since they tend to appear randomly
for me.
So, we finally welcome the manga that didn’t want to come
home. Behind the Scenes volume 6 did take a while coming in but I am not upset
with it, it’s finally here and I can’t wait to finally read it, since I think
the series ends in one more volume and I
cannot wait till it all comes together and I can rave about it for like a week.
Anyway, let’s start with volume 6 synopsis.
It’s winter break and the art students are helping a local children’s centre put up on a holiday puppet show, since having no classes allows them to have time preparing but all that togetherness hits Ranmaru for his heartsore. After he thinks he’s accepted that Ruka is only interested in Goda, he finds out that she has agreed to an arrange marriage after college!
This sounds so good and I cannot wait to read that and the
possible final volume! I am also sad that it will also be ending soon too but
it can’t be helped though, all good things must come to an end.
Deadman Wonderland is slowly coming to completion and I am
feeling rather proud of it. Currently, seven is on its way, so I can possibly
boast about slowly getting over the halfway bump of the series and now, time to
share the synopsis of the next four volumes I have currently.
Ganta now enters the Carnival Corpse, a battle between two
branches of sin users and now he is up against a timid girl, he ponders, can he
even take her on? Meanwhile, deep in the bowels of the prison, the warden
stands face to face with the Red Man.
Now in volume 4, Ganta is now recruited into the Scar Chain,
an antiestablishment group planning a mass prison escape. After a brief meeting
with Shiro, he is at a crossroads but Nagi convinces him to take part. However,
a traitor is already leaked the plan, cause of course, to the Undertakers, a
group that takes out rebels without mercy.
We continue with the leader being captured and the plan
being thwarted, so Ganta seeks out training in order to use his powers to his
advantage, even if it means he will be dwelling deeper into the dark side of
the prison, well a darker and deadlier plot anyway. As the battle comes to the
end, who really wins when one loses? Considering that is the outcome of any
battle.
Despite the loss of their leader, Scar Chain manages to
defeat the Undertakers and escape, except for Ganta and Shiro. Tamaki, the
insane mastermind behind the Deadman Wonderland initiates the next part of his
diabolical plan. So, he releases one of his new developments, called the
Ninben, which is an artificial Deadman and uses Azami as one of the first test
subjects!
Only went up two volumes this time round and it basically
concludes the Fall Classic tournament. Let’s begin with the synopsis, since I
only really read one of the two volumes, since another manga got in the way
first.
Volume 11 continues with Mimasaka copying his opponents’
dish so completely and perfectly that it usually knocks them out the park and
he does this, only in order for him to win. But is that what cooking is really
about? Hoping to find the answer, Soma will give up everything, especially his
identity of being a Chef, Things will be made clear when the time comes at the
judging at the Fall Classics first semi-final rounds but that’s not all, the
second round brings a surprising twist!
Volume 12 starts with a three-way battle in the finals!
The ingredient chosen to grace the finals is an Autumn staple, Pike. With a strict time limit, what incredible dishes can the three finalist bring to the epic conclusion of the Classics!?

I cannot wait to get more of this series since I think I
have read up to somewhere in the twenties section of the volumes area. I am
hoping to get within that are by the end of the year.
Next, we have a nine-volume series where it is somewhat
pricey, but I am slowly collecting them since it sounds like a fascinating
series. Here we have volume 2 out of nine for the series.
It was just a normal day for Akira, until some students go
berserk and start seeing everyone as lunch and started to chow down. Now Akira,
Furuchi and Umezawa are trying to find the source of why this is happening and
what to do since help is not an option.
Volume two continues as the hostilities between zombie and
students continue to grow which threatens to destroy the school, Houjou must
enact dire measures to make sure no more lives are lost but it will come at a
terrible cost.
I recently procured Kiss him, not Me off an amazing IG user,
takunoshibooks!
So, I am really happy to finally have the whole series and basically read the
whole series within a few days and oh my, it was such a rush. There were even
parts where I did not expect that to happen. Anyway, let’s start with the
synopsis, I plan to do a comment or review in the weekly reads post that is
being written after this post.
We meet Kae Serinuma is a fujoshi, a female geek that gets
really worked up over anime and manga but in particular, Yaoi or Boys Love,
doesn’t matter if it’s fictional or not, she is all about that boy on boy action.
When her favourite anime character, Shion, is killed off, Kae is so shocked that she locked herself in her room for a week. After being pulled out by her family, she discovers she lost a lot of weight, a miracle that so many of us wish we had in reality. So due to her beautiful transformation, she attracts all the good-looking guys in school, mainly Yusuke Igarashi, Nozomu Nanashima, Hayato Shinomiya and Asuma Mutsumi.
Despite learning that Kae is an Otaku and a fujoshi, they all fight for her love anyway cause she looks so much better, though Mutsumi knew it was her despite the change. Then to throw in the Yuri theme, Shima Nishina comes in and battles for the affection of Kae too. Though Kae, obviously would love the boys to hook up with each other for her and Shima to drool over, despite them wanting to be with her.

I know, I sound a bit harsh and that but honestly, it was a
good manga and some parts honestly shit me up the wall, but I am sharing how I
think about the series and how it is kind of projecting. Though, fun fact, my
hoped pairing does end up together and makes my day.
We now have finally got the first bundle of Pokémon, cause
why not or maybe being a bit nostalgic, growing up with Pokémon and all. So, I
cannot wait to actually read them all as well as the second bundle of Gold and
Silver. Though one day I need to find and procure the Yellow volumes, if there
is a thing.
The first story shows Red, who gets his Pokedex from
Professor Oak to start his journey, collecting and battling everything he
passes, especially to obtain some badges and eventually meeting his rival,
Blue. Don’t worry, later on he encounters the con artist, Green, who sells him
fake stuff and has stolen a Pokémon from Oak and evolves it.
We progress further when Oak is kidnapped by Team Rocket and forced to create a
Mewtwo but in usual fashion, Red, Blue and Green arrive to face the admin. They
defeat them and rescue Oak, but that’s not all, Red travels to the end battle
area to battle his rival despite only having seven badges and also kick’s
Mewtwo butt and the leader of Team Rocket. Fret not, in usual fashion, Red wins
the title of Champion of the Pokémon League.
I am pleased at having two complete sets and finally got the
missing volume in and cannot wait to read them all, despite being a good
halfway through Kiss Him, Not me at this point. I hope to finish Deadman
Wonderland sooner than later, since I have at least six more volumes to go,
since volume seven has been ordered in this week with a few pre-orders and Ao
Haru Ride. Now that’s all folks and remember, read all the things!
